[Synth - Pop] Capital Cities - Holiday (Madonna Cover)

This song is for the holidays, about holidays, and honestly Capital Cities should just have a holiday named after them they are so jamming. It’s a cover of the Madonna song that I wasn’t so keen on; let’s just say I am now keen. If this doesn't get you in the mood for a holiday I honestly don't know what song will. Enjoy.

[Indie - Rock] The Concept - Gimme Twice

Young Swedish band The Concept are getting a lot of press and are set to make 2012 their year. And with tunes like ‘Gimme Twice’, it’s easy to see why. Like a Phoenix track remixed by indie-poppers Two Door Cinema Club, this song bounces along effervescently with great guitar lines and catchy vocals that will make you desk-dance. A great little number with an effortlessly cool video, get ready to hear ‘Gimme Twice’ blasting out at an indie disco near you.

[Indie] General Fiasco - Don't You Ever

Following on from the excellent ‘Waves’ EP, Northern Irish indie sensations General Fiasco are back with a new single and promise of their long-awaited second album. Showcasing General Fiasco at their bright, bold and vibrant best, new single ‘Don’t You Ever’ is the sort of contagious indie-pop that will cement itself in your head from the first play.

[Alternative] The Shins - Simple Song

The Shins revealed "Simple Song," the first single from their forthcoming fourth album, Port of Morrow, this afternoon. The track is the first new piece of music released by the band since their third LP, Wincing the Night Away, came out in 2007.
Though "Simple Song" has a melodic sensibility that will be familiar from previous Shins releases, it has a bolder and more assertive sound, do i dare say it's more simple?

[Synth - Rock] Adventure Galley - Addict

Adventure Galley is six guys from Portland, Oregon. All members are fairly young with the physical and musical appeals of alternative rock and roll and their music is compared to an amplified Arcade Fire or The Killers having a garage jam session with MGMT. "Addict" was originally featured on Adventure Galley's The Right Place To Be EP from 2010. The remastered "Addict" has a legendary charm along with the other two tracks. As you can imagine, electronically sonic rock jams are empowering and that is Adventure Galley.

[Indie - Pop] Polarsets - Just Don't Open Your Eyes Yet

Wooo Indie Pop overdose. Polarsets are Rob Howe, Mickey Smith and James Rudd, three lads from the land of Little Comets, glorious tropical weather and Alan Shearer— Newcastle, England. With fast-paced guitar, electronic accents and energetic vocals, their songs reminds me of a simpler, more cowbell-loving Two Door Cinema Club.
